Google nest hub V1 firmware glitch

I have 3 Google nest hub V1 devices. Since the last firmware update, they all now do not go to the clock at night. Instead they just stay on the picture slide show and then dims slighty. It stays like that until the morning. I have found a temporary solution, unplug the device for 20 seconds then plug back in then it should be on the clock. This fixes the problem for a couple of days then goes back to the same problem. Any one else having the same problem?

Yes, there are other posts about this issue but google are not helping.  A factory reset seems to fix this for a few weeks but the problem eventually returns.

Yes, still having problems. It's hit and miss wether the clock comes on when the room gets dark. It used to work fine. I now have worked it out that I have to manually turn on the clock, which then fixes the clock to come on automatically for a few days to a week. Then we're back to turning it on manually again. I have reset the device a number of times, but it keeps returning with the problem.

We'd like to check this deeper. Could you please provide us the firmware version of your Nest Hub.

 

  • On the Nest display, swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen, then tap Settings> About device.
  • If the option Operating System Version is available, then they are on Fuchsia OS.

The firmware on my device is 1.56.291758
