My google nest hum bax stopped connecting to the internet. It goes through setup, my android phone sees it, I get a confirmation code, then it won't connect. No wifi password changes.
When trying to connect, it tries, then the display shows "check internet connection"
The phone will display
"Connecting to Wi-Fi
nest Hub Max is now trying to connect to <mynetwork>"
and the display will show "connecting to <mynetwork>."
The display attempt fails fast (5 or 10 seconds max) then displays "check Internet Connection:"
It takes the phone much longer to fail and eventually displays "Connection problem during setup Please check your wifi network settings"
The network settings are taken from my phone, which is connected to the network. I have also tried entering it manually.
I think I've had this maybe a year or so? Do the radios just die?
My phone still connects to the device to attempt setup, so it seems like the wifi must function on some level.

Hello pablocolorado,
That certainly hasn't been easy for you — let's work this out.
Give resetting your Google Nest Hub Max a try to see if you'll get the same result. Try reinstalling your Google Home app a try. If possible, use a mobile hotspot to set up your devices (To isolate the issue).
Keep us posted.
Best,
Alex
