If you simply unplugged your Nest Hub and plugged it in again--and made no other changes at all--the Nest Hub should have come back online once you plugged it in, with no input from you. We've unplugged our Nest Hubs several times with no issues at all.
If you changed your Wi-Fi settings in the meantime, you could check Google Nest's instructions on changing the Wi-Fi network: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7170507?hl=en#zippy=
If you did nothing more than unplug your Nest Hub and it prompted you for a password when you plugged it back in again, you could try contacting Google Nest Support: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

I don't know how it works on an Android phone, but we've deleted the Google Home app on one of our iPhones and re-installed it, and when we logged back on with the exact same gmail account and password and same Google Nest "home" (we have only one), we immediately had access to the same Google Nest devices we had before.
You're sure there have been no other changes?

Does google nest home have a network or password too? When I look on my available networks on my phone my google nest hub has a network too but it needs a password I've only been putting my wifi password in nothing else but when I set it up and put my password in its saying its incorrect.

I lost you there. I don't know what you mean by your Nest Hub having its own network. Here's what I know:
When you log onto the Google Home app, you enter your gmail account and password.
If you have older Google Nest devices and also use the Google Nest app, you've probably already migrated it to Google, so you should log onto the Google Nest app with the same gmail account and password.
When you add a new Google Nest device to the Google Home app, you input the network name (SSID) and password for your home Wi-Fi network. If you already have other Google Nest devices and add a new Google Nest device, it tries to get the network name (SSID) and password for your home Wi-Fi network from one of your other Google Nest devices, so you don't have to input those credentials again.
If you are using more than one Wi-Fi network in your home, then things can get complicated.

Hey Joannemc,
MplsCustomer, thanks for the assistance!
Thanks for reaching out — let's see what's going on with your Google Nest Hub.
A few questions — is your Nest Hub within 15 to 20 feet (5 to 6 meters) away from your router? Also, are you using a public or private network.
Give these steps a try:
Let us know how it goes.
Best,
Alex
