The first thing that you need to check before connecting your TV to your Google Nest Mini is its compatibility. Can you tell us the make and model of the TV that you are using? When you link your TVs and Google Nest or Home speakers or displays, you can use Google Assistant to control music and video.
Here are some steps that you can follow to set it up:
- Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as your Chromecast, or speaker or display.
- Open the Google Home app

- At the top left, tap Add
Set up device

- Tap the home you want to add the device to
- Tap the device you want to set up
- Make sure that the code shown on the TV matches the code shown on your mobile device.
- To send anonymous data that helps us improve devices, tap Yes, I'm in. To opt out, tap No thanks.
- Tap the room where you're setting up your device
- Tap the Wi-Fi network you want to connect your device to
- Tap Next.
- To choose whether to receive emails about your device, tap Sign up or No thanks.
- Choose which video services you want to add
- Tap Continue
Note: If you get an "Error when linking device" error message, you must factory reset your Chromecast device.
