Not sure what update Google has been doing but I faced issues with 2 of 5 Google devices this month. Please stop what ever you are doing.

One keeps disconnecting from WiFi (it 4 meters from the access point).

Other one keeps resetting.

Hello Manish1,

Thank you for your patience. I would be more than happy to help look into this issue. First, I have some questions regarding this situation.

  • When did this issue first occur?
  • Which devices are encountering issues? (model name, generation number)
  • When does the device ask you to link it? Randomly? When you are using it?
  • Are you getting any error messages in the Google Home app?
  • Are your devices showing up on the Google Home app?
  • In regard to 'access point', is that in regard to the Google Nest WiFi points?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

I appreciate your patience and look forward to your reply back.

I'm having the same issue for 2 of my devices. Old chromecast that says it needs activating before linking and a mini that repeatedly requires setting up. Had other devices need setting up again but only one offs.

Hey Claytob86,

Sorry for the late reply. I wanted to check in and see if you are still in need of any help? Please let me know, as I would be happy to assist.

Best regards,

I tried resetting it but that didn't help. I think will try and get a replacement as the other Google minis are okay.
