Google speakers - Can’t connect to the cloud error message on Google Home app

I have 4 Google speakers. 2 Google Home Max speakers and 2 Nest Audio speakers. I have a new Bluetooth device (turntable) that I wish to connect to these speakers and when I click the gear button on these speakers. I consistently get the can’t connect to the cloud error messages. What is going on? I’ve never seen that before (and yes the Google Home app is up to date)

Hi Coloredo311,

That certainly hasn't been easy for you ― let's check it out. Is this the first time seeing that kind of error message? Are your Nest speakers still working via voice command? Also for confirmation, the gear icon that you're referring to, is it the one that's found on each of your Nest speakers on your Google Home app? If so, you might want to check the connection of your phone if it's on the same network as your other devices. Frequencies like 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz. It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot, too. Unplug the power cord of your router followed by your Nest speakers. Plug them back in after 3 minutes tops. Restarting your phone might also help.

Tell us how it goes.

Best,

Dan
