Help! Home accidentally deleted from Home app

Somehow one of my homes was deleted from the Google Home app. I can no longer access the devices tied to that home. 

I tried factory resetting my Hub Max and when I tried to set it up under a new home it says it is attached to another account. How can I find it to remove it? I've spent hours on this already.

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I understand your frustration that your Nest Hub Max doesn’t appear in your Google Home app and that attempting to connect again was unsuccessful. I appreciate your effort to troubleshoot the situation. Let’s work together to find a solution.

For this concern, please do these steps:

  • Attempt to set up the Nest Hub Max again.
  • If the same error message appears, please do the following:
  • Force close the Google Home app, but don’t tap Exit setup.
  • Reopen the Google Home app. Scroll down to the bottom of the home page.
  • Verify whether the Nest Hub Max appears under Other Cast Devices or Local Devices.
  • If found, choose the device, assign it to a room, and link it to the account.
  • If it doesn’t work, please unplug the device.
  • Wait for at least 48 hours.
  • Factory reset the device again, attempting to set up the device.
