Hello all,
UK based international family, trying to listen to Spanish/Catalan radio stations on our (new) Google Nest Hub.
We used to do this (on our old Alexa) using Global Player / TuneIn.
When we ask the nest hub ("Play radio RAC 105") it replies with: "I don't know, here are some search results"
A highly annoying response, but let's not dwell on it.
Googling gets me:
"""
"""
Asking Nest Hub to "Play radio RAC 105 on iHeartRadio"
gets: "iHeartRadio is not available in your region".
And we're unable to link radio services because we're not in US/Canada (perhaps, dear Google, in 2024, linking radio services should be available to more than two countries?)
Ultimately it seems that we can't play Spanish/Catalan radio station on Google Nest Hub from the UK(?!)
If this is the truth of the matter, then I am a VERY disappointed customer (as our old Alexa used to do this with no fuss whatsoever).
If anyone has any tips, please send them my way.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi,
Maybe it's a workaround: did you try to cast the audio from your phone when using TuneIn Radio (or any other radio station app)

Hi, Ybaz
Thank you for posting in the community. I understand that to play international radio stations on Google Nest Hub.
As you know there are some apps that are not available for your region on the Hub therefore we recommend using TuneIn Premium for your Global radio.
Also, you can take a look at this article for the commands: Listen to radio on your Google Nest speaker or display - Google Nest Help
If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reply to this post. I'll be happy to assist you further!
Best regards,
Rusell.

Many thanks (JJJJJJJJJ) for the response to this question.
I will try the workaround suggested, which I hope will work. I am still disappointed that I need to get my smart phone involved in order to be able to play a radio station on my Google Nest. On my older and cheaper Amazon Alexa I was able to play any radio station that I wanted via a voice command.
Google. It's 2024. I should be able to link radio services in more than two (US & Canada) regions!!

Hi, Ybaz,
Thank you for your response. We understand how the frustration may be therefore, we're always looking for ways to improve, and we appreciate your DSCC Feedback Form.
As we informed you to use TuneIn Premium instead of the app that you used before.
If you have any other questions, you can keep posting.
Regards,
Rusell.
