Help! (please) Mini Nests not connecting to new router

None of my 5 Google Nest Minis will connect to my new router.

I've factory reset them, updated and also uninstalled and reinstalled the google home app. Placed the minis directly next to the router. Checked, rechecked  & re-re-checked the password but it still says "can't connect to the internet, check your password".  I've rebooted the router.

They do go through most of the setup process ie the app finds a mini, I hear the beep etc, but then it says it can't connect. 

Any suggestions appreciated!

UPDATE: Nothing I tried with the 'new' router worked. I even changed the wifi password. So i reverted to the old router (which was replaced because it suddenly started losing connection) and everything connected to it straight away with no issues whatsoever. Even the wireless extender, which had worked with the old one but not the new, reconnected and worked happily.

The lesson is:- if the router's changed and smart speakers don't connect, it's probably an incompatibility with the new router
