Hi, my Nest devices play 1 second of music and then goes silent. Signal is strong & I tried reboot.

Any ideas sine rebooting is not working. The problem is happening more frequently recently.

Thanks for your post. I am sorry to hear that your devices are stopping audio after one second. That is a frustrating issue and I would be more than happy to help find a solution. First, I have some quick questions.

  • Which Google devices is this post in regard to? (model name, generation number)
  • Are your devices in a speaker group when this issue occurs?
  • Does this issue happen with all types of media? (YouTube, Spotify, TuneIn, etc.)
  • Could you please try to do a reboot and Factory Data Reset on your device? Are there any improvements? 
    • A factory reset will reset your Google Nest or Home speaker or display to its default factory settings. 
    • Note: This action will clear your data from the device and can't be undone.
