Hive to Google comms

I have an hive thermostat and hot water, all links were completed successfully, when I open my Google home ma try to activate heating nothing works even though I can see it's physically there are and not showing any activity, if I was to open hive itself directly activate the heating then go back to Google home ma I can physically see a colour change to show activation but still can't execute any commands from Google home app, just wondering whether there is a glitch in the system, thanks

Thanks for sharing details about the issue. I know how challenging it is when you can't control your smart devices using your Google Home/Nest device. A few questions: does it work before? What is the response of your speaker when controlling it via voice command? Does the same issue happen when using the Google Assistant app on your phone? Also, what are the troubleshooting steps that you're tried so far?

Things seem to have improved a little in relation to controlling heating thermostat, find it helps to use specific commands, for example hey Google thermostat on, realised also so setting the the target thermostat temperature with you Google home app above ambient also works.
 
The only issue I have now is the hot water, I can say too to Google hot water on, Google will acknowledge by repeating the command but nothing happens, I have linked hot water to Google which is part of the same system as the thermostat under Hive,  it's showing some information on the screen within the app in relation to hot water but no active icon touch screen buttons etc, see attached.

I appreciate your quick response. I'm glad to know that you are able to control your thermostat now using your Google Home/Nest device. Moving forward, have you tried to unlink and relink your Hive account from the Google Home app? This will help us refresh the connection of the two apps. Also, are you able to control the hot water from the native app itslef?

I unlinked and relinked, I can also control hot water from the Hive main as normal.

Thanks for trying. Please try these steps below:

 

  1. Unlink Hive account from the Google Home app.
  2. Reset your speakers.
  3. Uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app.
  4. Set up your speakers then relink your Hive account.
  5. Assign your Hive devices in a specific room.
