Home mini connectivity.

Hi, I try to start My home mini and I get to the point where it asks me to enter my WiFi password, but then it shows a pop up day could not connect to Google device and sends me back to the home screen of the app. What do I do?

Thanks for reaching out — let's see what's going on with your Google Home Mini.

A few questions — is your Home Mini within 15 to 20 feet (5 to 6 meters) away from your router? Also, is it the first time you're setting it up?

Give these steps a try:
 

  • Make sure your phone is connected to the same network where you want to connect your Home Mini.
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling your Google Home app. 
  • If you're using an iOS device, make sure Local Network Access is turned on for the Google Home app and
  • Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
  • Reboot your router and devices to refresh the connection.
  • Toggle the Wi-Fi off/on on your set up device. 
  • Reset your Home Mini.
