Home mini tedious reset process

I’m doing the “tedious” factory reset on my Home Mini and I have the mic off. Should it be turned back on for the 10x unplug/plug in steps?

I’ve now tried the plug/unplug 15 times and it won’t reset.  Do I need to buy another?  Not sure if it’s worth it since Ihardly ever used this one.

I tried too. It’s a hoax. I tried with my new one that is working and did nothing neither

Hey folks,

 

That certainly hasn’t been easy for you — let’s check what’s going on. 

 

A few questions: when did it start happening? How long has the device been in use? Also, was the device in use before the issue occurred (Yes or No)? If Yes, what was the device used for? (broadcast media, play music, etc.) 

 

Try these resetting steps:

 

  1. At the side of the Google Home speaker, unplug the power cord and wait for 10 seconds. Then plug it back in and wait until the 4 LED lights up on top.
  2. Repeat the first step, 10 more times.
  3. After the customer plugs the power cord back in the final time, wait for the device to reset. The device announces "Welcome to Google Home" to signify that its ready for setup.
