Hello Friends;
If I ask Google to play music at the time I want an alarm it will indeed play the music and Flash its light at the time indicated! Hence I have an Alarm!!!!

I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing when setting up an alarm. Let’s further look into it. Are you only setting up a general alarm? When did you notice this behavior? Have you already rebooted your Google Home? Unplug its power adapter for a minute, and then try to set an alarm again. Let me know how it goes.

I am using a Google Speaker - Insignia.
This started about two weeks ago... It happens with a specific alarm....date and times.
I tired rebooting a number of times – no luck.
It keeps on saying “sorry, what’s the date and time?” But if I ask it to set up a continuous weekday alarm it will do it. But then it keeps on flashing until I cancel the alarm.
Many others have posted the same problem. The device does all the other commands successfully.

Thanks for the information. Have you tried doing a factory reset on your Insignia speaker and then setting it up again? Give it a try. If the issue persists after the factory reset, I suggest that you contact Insignia support for further troubleshooting steps, as we have limited support for third-party Google Assistant-enabled speakers.

Thanks again for your help. I did a reset - no luck. Insignia has no answer, some think it is a software issue. Kind of a shame - I really like the device and the good service it has given me for years...almost convinced me to dump Alexa....but now she is back..... and she does alarms real nice.

I have exactly the same issue. It's happening on one of my Insignia devices, but not the other.
