How can I link my Spotify to my Google Home?

When I select Spotify to link as my Music Provider on Google Home I get the screen that reads "Link an account to control Spotify on any device" and click Continue. I then receive the screen that reads "When you link your accounts, Google will be able to" and I click Agree and Continue. I then get a black screen that briefly reads "loading" then it cycles quickly through 2 blank white screens and takes me back to the main Music page where I can choose my music service.

How do I get past this issue?

Hey there,

Sorry to hear that you're having troubles with this, I'm sure it's confusing but I'm happy to help.

I would suggest following the below steps and trying to troubleshoot as well.

  1. Download and open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap Account in the top-right.
  3. Check the Google Account shown is the one linked to your Google Home or Google Nest device. ...
  4. Back on the home screen, tap + in the top-left, then Music and audio.
  5. Select Spotify and tap Link Account, then Log in to Spotify.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Best regards,

Garrett DS
