How to ask Google Assistant about the status of a timer set on another device in another room?

I have a broken ankle and it's hard to move around right now. I set a timer on my Google Home Hub device when I was in my kitchen and then sat down in my living room recliner. Later, I wanted to know how much time was left on the timer but without getting up. So I first looked in my Google Home app on my Android phone to check on the timer from the device options in the app but it doesn't have that as an option in the app. So I asked Google Assistant, "How much time is left on my timer on the Kitchen hub?" Its replied, "It looks like you don't have any timers set at the moment. Is there a way to check the status of a timer that's set on a device in another room from where I currently am?

At this point there does not seem to be a way to check on timers on other devices, I have a number of google home devices and have to be aware of that.  What I tend to do is, if I know I am leaving the area, I bring my phone with me and set the timer on the phone.  Not an ideal solution, but has proven to work at least.
