I love my google home and the assistant. I tell her to turn a light on and she does it. I tell her to turn a light off and she does it. My issue with this however is the fact that google always responds to my commands. Hey Google... turn on the office lights..... Ok turning on the office lights. My inquiry is the subject line of this post. Can I make the google assistant simply do the things I ask it to without actually giving any verbal response or chiming or anything? I just want her to do the thing I've asked her to do and be silent.

So the trick here is, if the things you are turning off are in the same room as the nest device , then it wont respond, it will just do it. For example, If I am in my kitchen, and I ask my Kitchen Hub to turn off the lights, it will just turn them off. If I am in the living room and ask to turn off the kitchen lights, it will tell me, this is just the way the system has been set up by google. You can send feedback to google through the devices, as they do keep this information, and if enough people send specific feedback to them, they implement changes.
