I agree. Not only is the Gemini voice inefficiently verbose, it gives me wrong information all the time!
I asked how long it would take to drive to a specific town, and it estimated HALF of the actual time needed. Thank goodness I doubted it's response and looked up an estimate on my phone. Before Gemini, my Google home would provide an accurate estimate EVERY time.
Another example-- It used to be able to tell me the approximate weather at the specific time when I ask . I ask every single morning because I run throughout the winter and summer. Weather is very important , and honestly dangerous if I'm not prepared correctly. Now it takes ten sentences to tell me that it can't tell me the weather...?!? Before Gemini, I could easily ask the weather and wind speed.
These are just a couple recent examples, but I'm so utterly disappointed with the Gemini voice. Also, what is the absolute absurdity of not allowing me to revert back to the Google home voice I had before? Soooo frustrated.
Last but not least, I just want the answer. I don't want to hear Gemini try to sound like a human or say the same thing in three different ways. It is technology. I want a clean, efficient, plain answer.
