I use my Google Speakers every day, to listen to the radio. I have routines set up, so I just say "Hey Google, play Radio X" and it plays Radio X on ALL of my speakers around the house.
For the past week, every time I do one of my radio routines, it asks if I want to listen to the radio.
If I say yes, it won't play on ALL of my speakers, and it seems to choose the last Radio station I listened to. It's driving me crazy.
No matter what Radio station I say, it always asks if I want to listen to the radio.
For one, why has Google suddenly started asking if I want to listen to the radio? and how the heck can I fix this?
- Device is a Google Home Mini 1st Gen, but it does the same on all of my speakers and a Google Home Max too.
Any help would be amazing!

Hi Lardo,
That certainly hasn't been easy for you ― let’s check this out. Are your Nest speakers on a speaker group? Have you already tried removing and recreating your media routines? One big help is for you to do a sequential reboot on all your devices to refresh their link to each other and to your Wi-Fi. Unplug the power cord from your router followed by your Nest speakers. Restarting your phone might also help. Monitor afterwards.
Keep us posted.
Best,
Dan

I wondered if anyone else is going through the same thing.
I do have my speakers set up as a group... called "ALL"
I have modified the routine, using different words, and it doesn't seem to recognise what it says.
For example:
My old routine was "Play radio X", "Play Radio X, London, on ALL"
This one just asks if I want to listen to Radio.
My new routine:
"Play Radio X", "Play Radio X, from Global Player, on ALL"
If I speak those words above, it works fine, but running the routine just doesn't seem to work, Google just says "I don't understand".
I have turned my router off a few times over the past week or so, due to broadband issues, and that didn't seem to help.
I will try your suggestion of a sequential reboot, I haven't tried that! Thanks for your advice.

Hi Lardo,
We'll keep this thread open for few more days and will wait until you're done trying the steps.

Okay, had a chance to fiddle!
Rebooting the router or the speakers didn't work.
I had to keep trying different sentences on the routines until it fully understands what I'm doing. It's so frustrating 😂
The sentences had to be changed for whatever reason. The new sentence is this:
"Play Radio X London from Global player on ALL"
I had to add "London" and "from Global Player" in order to make it work. I do think Google could be smarter in this regard. I mean, it used to work just saying
"Play Radio X on ALL"

Hi Lardo,
Chiming in to ensure everything is covered here. Just to add, please try renaming your speaker group into a more unique name. Once done, recreate your routine again then delete the old one. Also, do you have a lot of routines set up on your account? The reason why I'm asking is we will try a step that will remove your existing routines.
Keep us posted.
Cheers,
Muddi

Thanks for your help.
I just recreated the routines, using the method I wrote above. It seems to work fine for now. I've had the speaker group called "ALL" for years and it's never posed a problem... I'll probably keep it as that for now ☺
