Hub Max Camera fails to turn on in Home App

Every time I switch the camera on, it switches off in the app when I check it. Between the nest app and home app, the hub max camera has been a disgrace, barely functioning after 2021.

What the hell is going on with support for this device?

Thanks for posting. I’m sorry that you are experiencing this problem with the camera of your Nest Hub Max. I understand how frustrating that situation can be. Let’s try to make it work again. I just need to ask for some information before I start:

 

  1. Did the built-in Nest Cam work before?
  2. When did the issue start?
  3. Did you attempt to factory reset your Nest Hub Max after discovering the camera offline issue? If yes, were you able to successfully set up the built-in camera again?
  4. What LED lights appear on the Nest Hub Max?
  5. When you try to stream the built-in Nest Cam, do you get error messages from the Nest Hub Max, Home app, or Nest app?
  6. What’s the firmware version of the Nest Hub Max?
  7. What’s the software version of the Google Home app?
  8. Does the built-in Nest Cam work with the following apps: the Nest app or Google Meet video calls?
  9. In the Google Home app, check if home monitoring features are turned on. When enabled, does it turn off by itself?

 

Once I have this information, I can provide further assistance.
