Hello,
For the past few years, I could stream music to all my nest devices, then on one of the hub max's i could ask it to stream a nest camera. It would keep the music playing, but show the nest camera on the screen at the same time. This was very useful.
Now when music it streaming and i ask it to stream a nest camera, the music stops. My guess is that this broke with the fuschia update as the timing seems to match up.
Please confirm when/why this changed and how to fix the issue?
Thank you,
-Ryan

Thanks for your patience. Our teams have looked into this behavior, and we can confirm that this feature is working as intended.
We understand that streaming the camera and music simultaneously was a feature you used often, and we're sorry for the inconvenience. While we don't have plans to adjust this behavior, we're always looking for ways to improve and will take the feedback.

We’re also having this issue as well as when the cameras stream they aren’t full screen anymore, like the resolution is off. Would love a solution to this! Being able to stream the camera and music simultaneously was a feature we used everyday.

It’s been 2 weeks - what’s the status on this?

Hi everyone,
We appreciate the info you've shared. After checking, this feature works as intended for Google Nest Hub Max devices. Regarding this, we'd like to ask you to send a feedback about those changes you noticed. Here's how: https://goo.gle/2NvQG6R

Hello,
So you are confirming that google made a conscience decision to change the way this product works and make it less useful for customers? I have submitted feedback but to me this is a bug as it is a takeaway from software that worked previously.
Thanks,
-Ryan

Hi ryannemeth,
Thanks for submitting a feedback. I'll make sure to let the team know about this. Meanwhile, can you check if Google Nest Hub exhibits the same results as your Google Nest Hub Max?

Hello.
Yes my hub also can not play music and stream a camera at the same time. Just to note, i have never tried to do this on a hub before. I just know that we used to do it every night on our hub max.
Thanks
Ryan

You’re saying something without saying anything at all really. Are the Hub Maxs able to stream a camera and music simultaneously, yes or no?

Hi mmaugans,
Streaming the camera and music works on Google Nest displays before. However, after a few updates, we can confirm that now, this feature is working as intended.

I’m confused. Are you saying that the ability to stream a camera and music simultaneously works on the max’s and it’s just some of them that can’t do this anymore? I need clarification on your statement “this feature works as intended for Google Nest Hub Max devices”
