3 years of 'Hey google' has **bleep**ing got to me I am sick and tired of saying google.

How **bleep**ing up your own **bleep**ing ass do you have to be to have someone who buys your product have to say your company each time by name to do anything with it. **bleep**ing gross.

I demand I can use new hotwords and Demand I can disable ALL music

I should NEVER have the **bleep**ing device playing music when asking it anything that has nothing to do wtih **bleep**ing music.

Hey Google lights 80 percent

starts playing 80 degrees music station

How the **bleep** is that at all **bleep**ing logical

While I do think the tone of this post is a bit unprofessional, there's a point I agree with:

"
Hey Google lights 80 percent

"

So, I made a speakergroup called group 1, and another called group 2.  Even though these are perfectly sensible names, it's very difficult to use these using voice commands, because almost all of the time, it will either give me google search info about the bands "Group 1 crew" and "Group 2".

I've run into similar issues naming a smartplug "ligths", "lamp" (because obviously, the lamp is plugged into the smartplug.   It said "there are no lights installed in your home, go to the google home app"

Basicly, it should almost always prioritize the name of devices above anything else.   If there is a device called "group", don't go on the web automatically to search for a music band called "group".

Hi folks,

Erndog2k, we appreciate people who want to share their thoughts with us. We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take this as feedback.

kgatgmaildotcom and Erndog2k, this is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few things: which Nest speakers are we working with? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made? Does the issue only happen when smart lights are involved or does it happen to all commands and devices?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router followed by your Nest speakers then your 3rd party smart devices.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

Once done, try to replicate and also try basic commands if the issue persists.

Best,

Dan
