I can’t delete devices on Google home after I changed homes

Last night I was messing around with my Google Home on my phone and I messed up so I deleted my Home to start a new one. When I try to start a new home and add my devices, my Google hub Max and my Google nest will not work. It says I need to get permission from manager from the previous home. I guess the one that I deleted. I did a factory reset on both the hub and the nest and it’s still saying that the home that I deleted needs to get permission for my new home. What do I do?

Hello I'm having the same issue. I changed internet provider, while trying to figure out how to get the cameras on the new network,  I deleted  my home profile  "brookfield"  then created  a new one "home sweet home" I am only able to get 1 indoor/outdoor battery cam, and 1 nest max hub onto the new "home sweet home profile... my wired doorbell, 2nd battery cam, and like 5 other indoor wired cams will not activate, and I think it's because  it's stuck on my other home which was deleted.... I've tried everything... please help

Try creating a “new home” with the same name as the original home you accidentally deleted. I had a similar issue when doing a factory reset, and the device re-appeared on the deleted home with the original name. Once it reappears, you should be able to move it to a home of your choosing.

So I did set up a new "home" with the same name , but had no such luck... For some reason i was able to add 5 indoor wired cams to my new "home sweet home " profile. but i still cant get the 1 battery powered cam to connect

Hi folks,

@bdbaum17, thanks for the help.

@chriswalsh, thanks for reaching out. I’m glad that you are able to set up the other indoor Nest Cameras in your new home. What is the exact message that you are getting when you add the Battery powered camera? What steps have you taken so far?

Looking forward to your response.

Regards,

Juni
