“I can't do that here, but you can ask me to play it on one of your devices“

I have 3 google assistants in the house. When I ask one particular one to play a Sirius XM channel (I have a subscription) I get “I can't do that here, but you can ask me to play it on one of your other devices”. If I ask the same assistant to play the same on the homegroup everything is fine and it plays on that assistant along with the other 2. It used to work correctly. What would cause that phenomenon and any recommendations on what to do to fix it?

Hello Clemsonu90,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

We're sorry to hear about that experience. Could you please list down all the Google Nest speakers connected to your network as well its cast firmware version?

To check which firmware version you're on, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. Tap your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings and then Device information.
  4. Under "Technical information," check for Cast firmware: "X.XXX.XXXXX." If the device is on Fuchsia, check for System firmware version: "X.XXXXXXXX.X.XXXXXXX".

Check the version on your Nest display

  1.  Swipe up from the bottom of the display screen.
  2. Tap Settings and then About device. You should find your "Cast firmware version."
    • For Nest Hub (1st gen) and Nest Hub Max: If “Fuchsia Version” is also listed, this means your device runs Fuchsia.

Also, on all of these speakers, are you using the same account? Are there other people added as your home member?

I look forward to your response.

Best,

Princess
