Google Hub Flashing when linked to camera

AngelB

I have several nest hubs and cameras around my house.  All four of my displays (some regular some max) flash on and off when connected to any of the cameras within my home.  I have had this setup for about 1.5 years and had no issues with this until about a month or two ago.  After several periodic flashes the display/camera will close connection.  IF I am lucky then the display will just continue to flash annoyingly without closing out of the cameras feed.

Please help.  I use these devices not for security but for safety of an individual with special needs...it is so important that I get this issue fixed.

I have tried rebooting, updating the apps, etc.  I am not savvy with this type of thing so detailed / very detailed simple instruction would be appreciated.

Hi AngelB,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community.

We're sorry to hear about what's happening right now with your Google Nest displays. Let's sort things out by answering these questions:

  • How far are these cameras from your router?
  • What's the distance of your Google Nest display from each other and your router?
  • Have you made any changes on your network settings before it happened?

Let's try first to reboot your Google Nest displays and router simply by unplugging them from the power source for at least a few minutes. As soon as everything is plugged in, try saying "OK Google, sync my devices".

Let me know how it goes.

Best,

Princess
