I want to record

I want to record a conversation. Do I have to give the Google Nest mini a command to make it record or will it automatically record all audio? I have read several different articles and I can’t decide which it is. 

I need the conversation in the living room to be recorded. Can I make that happen?

Google speakers don't have a feature or setting for you to ask it to purposely record a conversation. This is mostly a user to user community, therefore if this is a feature you'd like to see, I’d encourage you to also send this feedback directly to Google. You will not receive a response, unless Google need more details from you, however the team are still reading the feedback.
