I want to return this Nest Hub

Jawknee

I've gone round and round on this.  I spent several hours trying to make it do one thing:   show me when someone comes to the door - even if they don't ring the doorbell.  I made this clear when I tried to get support over the next several evenings.

I have 44 pages of transcript from the support people in India trying to help.  I was clear what I wanted it to do.   We unregistered the Nest Doorbell and Nest Thermometer from my Nest account and migrated to Google.

Finally, in complete frustration I gave up, moved the thermostat and doorbell back to the Nest account, where they are working fine.

I just want this hub OUT OF MY HOUSE - and I want someone, somewhere, to at least know what I had to go through before I had to give up.

Only today did Carlos explain that it won't do the one thing I wanted it to do.

So...   where can I send this piece of junk along w/ 44 pages of transcript (on 6 sheets of paper) where someone can look through this and see what a serious process problem Google has  and how much of their customers' time they are wasting.

Please?

Thanks Cathal_S - I bought it directly from Google and they sent me here.

Thanks Cathal.   That is pretty much where I started - and no surprise, they were useless.

Hi again,

If you are from either the US or Canada you can try using the warranty claim form linked below.

Thanks again, Cathal. it's out of warranty - but I'll check that out.  I wish Google had been so helpful.

Princess,

@Cathal_Shas been great.  Unfortunately, not so Google.   The Nest Hub is out of warranty, and I as noted at the start - I just want someone at Google to understand what I had to go through.

The system is not set up to handle that, apparently.

The link you gave is the same one Cathal shared - I can find no proof of purchase in my emails and cannot use that form.

My current plan is to try to avoid Google as much as practical going forward.

Thanks anyway.

Thanks again, Cathal.

I tried that - but I could not get past the requirement for a proof of purchase - it was bought online; I searched my emails and could not find anything appropriate.

I have a good friend at Google I may talk to about this.

Thanks again.
