Is incoming calls ever going to be a reality?

I have Google Fi and you would think integration for incoming calls would be easy. Last I knew the only way to get incoming calls was in Australia... And now I see AT&T and T-Mobile and Verizon are available. But not Google Fi... What's the deal they you can't even receive incoming calls on your own product?
