Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share my thoughts — and see if others feel the same.
It really seems like the Google Nest Hub (2nd gen) is being slowly abandoned by Google.
Over time, many useful or family-oriented features have been removed — things like family announcements, cookbook and recipe steps, certain media alarms, and other Assistant features that made the device feel truly helpful around the home.
What’s more frustrating is that when issues are reported, there’s no visible action or follow-up.
A good example is the long-standing problem where the Assistant’s voice volume is much lower than media playback.
If you set the volume for music at a comfortable level, the Assistant becomes almost inaudible when you try to talk to it — making the experience awkward and inconsistent.
This issue has been raised multiple times here, yet nothing seems to have changed.
Is anyone else getting the same feeling that the Nest Hub 2 is losing its value and attention from Google?
And most importantly — is there still any roadmap for improvements or bug fixes for this device?
Thanks in advance to anyone who shares their experience or insight.

My Broadcast/Announce do work, but do not disturb needs to be disabled on your other speakers. Sometimes you'll hear your own voice or a pre-recorded announcement with sound effects "Hey Google, Announce Time for bed"
Media Alarms haven't been available for a long time now, but I did recently discover how to wake up to the song you want to even if you have a free Spotify account (Automation required)...
