Hi there,
How can I change the device’s settings to setup a maximum volume output to my Google device which use Google home assistant (wifi nest, hub, audio, mini…etc)?
example: I want to limit the volume so that my kids cannot purposely set the volume to 100% (way to loud!!). I want the device to never reach more than say 100% of the maximum volume output, even when sending a voice command to increase the volume or by touching the volume up “button”
This is an essential feature for that I believe should have been setup by default.
There is another post ask similar question but there was no resolution. Link here
Re: Set max volume allowed by speech command https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Speakers-and-Displays/Set-max-volume-allowed-by-speech-comman...
Please help.

Small correction - in the example I meant :
“I want the device to never reach more than say 60% of the maximum volume output, even when sending a voice command to increase the volume to 100% or by repeatedly touching the volume up “button”

Hi Damo2,
Being able to set a maximum volume is a great feature, but not available on the Google Home/Nest speakers. I understand this feature would be very useful, and we'd like to encourage you to send feedback for any features that you’re looking forward to using with our Google Nest devices.
Feel free to respond to this if you have additional questions, otherwise, we'll be locking this thread in 24 hours.
Cheers,
Muddi

Thanks. I sent a feedback via the app. I really hope Google will look into it seriously. I do not see why the feature does not exist yet and it is certainly a relatively simple software fix. I’m certain other users do want it too.

Hey Damo2,
We appreciate your feedback. I know that this is not the answer that you are looking for, but rest assured that the team is working hard to add more useful features on the Google Home/Nest devices.
If you have additional questions and concerns, feel free to respond to this thread and we'd be happy to further assist you. Otherwise, I'll lock the thread shortly unless I can help out with anything else.
Cheers,
Muddi
