Is there a way to disable or restrict thermostat control on Google home screens?

Small children in house who button max Google home displays and can accidentally change thermostat controls. I'd like the thermostat to remain integrated into the Google home ecosystem but I want to block this from occuring.  Any solutions?

Thanks,

I don't think there's a way to do that unfortunately. The filters and digital wellbeing settings are designed to restrict content and temporarily turn off Google assistant, not designed to restrict access to home controls.

I had to make a new account for just the thermostats. I should not have to do this. They were locked. Hey Google change the living room to 68 should NOT work when it is LOCKED.

Hey MPatc,

For any smart home devices, as long as they are linked to your Google Home or Google Nest speakers or displays everyone can control it. Also, there's no settings on the Nest display wherein you can't allow other user to control your Thermostat. We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take it as feedback.

Kind regards,

Alex

Can you remove the Neat thermostat from Google Home?  My teenager likes the temp at 68 where I want 76. Even if Neat is looked, all my kid has to do is say “hey Google set the living room temperature to 68” and Google does it
