Is there a way to remove news from display?

The last thing I want in my face in the morning is news. Can this be removed from the display?

Good question! We know how convenient it would be if there were more options to customize the things that you can see on your Nest display. For now, removing the news tile from the Google Nest Hub screen is not supported. 

We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take this as feedback and pass it along to the team. I also suggest that you send feedback using your devices by saying, "Hey Google, send feedback," or by following the steps on this link.

We actually figured out how to do it. Account > Assistant settings > News > and remove all news sources. However, I think all connected accounts need to do this. I had tried this and it didn't work. It wasn't until my wife did it as well that we had removed from all accounts and the widget disappeared from 'My morning/evening'.

Yay! Cause I was just about to send the thing back 🐵

I tell a lie. It disappeared but has now returned. I really have heard enough about Will Smith at the oscars.
