Today I tried resetting the LG WK7 speaker again and adding it as new device in Google Home.
It works when casting music to a speaker group. I can't get it to work with Bluetooth.
*Remove your LG WK7 speaker in the Google Home app.
*Perform a reset (hold the reset button for 5 seconds until the lights turn orange).
*Go through the Google Home setup - Devices - Add - Speaker, and it should find the LG WK7. Continue through the setup process, which will fail at the end. The most important thing is to choose a location where nothing is located, like a backyard or something. This way you'll know where and what to name your speaker in the Google Home app.
If the speaker aborts the setup at the end, your speaker will still be listed in the Google Home app.
*Go to the speaker and test whether you can adjust the volume. If so, it's connected to your network.
*Add your speaker to a group. You can then cast through this group.
I can't get the speaker to work with Bluetooth in the LG Soundbar app or Google Home. What's important is that you can see the speaker in the app. This confirms it's on your network.
So, I can't cast directly through the speaker by speaking a command, but I can through my smartphone and a radio app.
Good luck

Thanks for this update. Can you clarify 'set location where nothing is located, like a backyard'. Does that mean using a different room in your existing home? I would like to get the casting working again in my WK7.
