Linking Spotify on Google home Mini

Hi, we have a Google Mini & want to be able to play our own Spotify play lists when we ask it to play. I have unlinked Spotify form Google home on my phone & hubby has added it to home on his phone but when he asks it to play a play list I don't have it says he needs to link a Spotify Account. What do we need to do to get this to work?
