Trying again:
This was discussed here without a solution:
I have been putting up with this for years now and wonder if there is a solution. Here are the symptoms: Speakers work for a day or two and then lose a connection. In the Home application it will show the paired stereo speakers which I name Stereo and the other speakers Left and Right. It is random which speaker will lose a connection. But when it does, I have to reset to factory and re-pair with Home. Sometimes the pair reverts to one of the paired speaker names (Left or Right or Living Room Speaker). Sometimes when the pair is working, it shows up as one of the paired speaker names in Home but still plays in stereo. But eventually one of the speakers loses its connection and has to be factory reset. Also, when I show the music playing in Spotify, it shows the wrong name--not one that I gave a speaker or Stereo, but a previous default name (e.g., Living Room Speaker). There was a suggestion years ago about resetting each speaker to factory ten times and I did that, but the connection issues remain. Are these just faulty from the factory? These connection issues seem to be common.

Hello scragin,
Thanks for posting. I know how challenging it is when you're having issues connecting your Google Home Max to your network. To eliminate network issues, please try setting up one of your devices using a mobile hotspot. Please note that you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one will serve as a router and the other to be used to set up your Home Max). Once done, check if your device will have the same behavior.
Let me know how it goes.
Cheers,
Muddi
