Mini Nest 2nd Generation Resets to Factory Default 3x/wk

Purchased Nest Mini 2nd Generation Sep 27, 2023 for summer cottage and on arrival this summer it has been resetting itself to factory default about 3 times per week. I’ve called customer service twice but they walk me through setup (which I do on my own in a fraction of time). When I push for replacement, they seem to not have authority to replace. Has anyone successfully resolved this problem? How do you force firmware upgrade? Has anyone successfully gotten replacement, i.e. is calling customer service for 3rd time a waste of time?

Below are questions I saw in a previous unresolved post:

  • Are you using the official power adapter that came with the speaker? YES
  • Have you attempted to connect the device to another wall outlet? YES - no change
  • Could you provide the current firmware version of your Nest Mini? 

    System firmware version: 375114

    Cast firmware: 2.57.375114

  • When and where did you purchase your device? Walmart, Sep 27, 2023
