Nest Mini local network access issue

I'm trying to set up my Nest Mini but I keep getting this error message: "Something went wrong. Speaker may be set up, but we could not communicate with it from your iPhone. Make sure that you have enabled local network access in your iPhone's privacy settings. Then try again."

I have:

- Turned on all local network access in settings

- Tried factory resetting the device

- Turned my iPhone on and off

- Unplugged and replugged the nest mini

What else can I try?

Hi chlodnn,

Thanks for posting in the community!

I'm so sorry to hear that you're having difficulties setting up your Nest Mini because you're encountering an error when trying. No worries; I'm here to help! Here are some steps we can try that might solve this situation:

  • Go to the devices that have logged into your account.
  • Sign out of your Google account on the device you're using for setup.
  • Unplug your Nest Mini for 48 hours.
  • After 48 hours, restart your Wi-Fi router and phone.
  • Perform a factory reset on your Nest Mini.
  • Try setting it up again.

I hope this helps! If you have more questions for me, feel free to reply to this post. I'll be happy to assist further!

Best regards,

Nery.
