How has Google Assistant and Home gotten more stupid? When I first bought it years ago it was great easy to use and helpful. Now at every other day, it will act up, everything from not playing my alarm, to morning routines being cut off halfway. I ask it something simple like, "Set a reminder" and it tells me it doesn't know how to help with that.
Just tonight I asked it to set a reminder for next week. To which it repeated and asked for a time. After telling it the time it miraculously changed the reminder to tomorrow. How is this not something Google is trying to fix? I honestly feel like it has moved backward in development rather than actually improving not exactly something you expect with technology.
Has there been any acknowledgment from Google at all? Do we know if anything is being done or will I have to dump everything and move to Alexa?

I agree it's getting worse everyday, can't even do simple task or answer a question without some off the wall random answers that aren't even related to the question, but to be honest my Alexa/echo dot is even worse so I wish you better luck than I've had, . If you do find something that actually works please keep us posted. 🤔😊Best wishes

Tonight I asked my Google Nest speaker for the population of Tokyo. It replied "Here you go.", and that was it. I repeated the question several times with the same result. My theory: I think the "smart" speakers are bleeding money from all the players "Google, Amazon, Apple", and they're putting as little money as possible to upgrade or fix any of these problems, probably hoping people will just stop using them.

Yep, I just factory reset it and set it up again. I'm still getting "Here you go" when I asked for the population of Tokyo. I appreciate your help, but it's obvious by this thread and others that the Google Home experience is getting worse and Google doesn't seem to care. And honestly, it has only gotten worse in the last few years in spite of the current AI technology advances.
