Hi,
This could be a hardware problem as I left my mini in a basket of clothes last night and it got a bit warm. I switched it off, unplugged it, let it cool down and it was offline, so I tried to reconnect it to the router, finally reset the speaker and whilst I can get through the whole set up using google home app on my iphone, my nest has lights, sounds etc, when it gets to connect to my internet it says it is connected and then comes up with either couldn't connect to Wifi, I have also reinstalled the google home app, and made sure my phone has the latest update.
So is it likely that I have fried the nest's ability to connect by getting it too hot - so a hardware problem, or is it a software glitch that I haven't worked out how to fix yet. Hope someone out there might be able to help. Thank you so much in advance

Hi SophieC1,
Thanks for bringing this up.
We're sorry to hear about this experience. I also appreciate all the steps you've tried. A few things I'd like to ask-- how far is your Google Nest Mini from the router? Are there any other Google Nest speakers connected to the same Wi-Fi network?
Let's go ahead and make sure to set it up close to the router for a better Wi-Fi connection. Lastly, to address the temperature issue, Google Nest and Home speakers and displays are built to operate between certain temperature thresholds. The recommended operating ambient temperature range for these devices, along with the bundled power adapter, is between 0°C (32°F) and 35°C (95°F).
Please feel free to respond so we can assist you further.
Best,
Princess
