Hi

My Nest mini after connecting to WiFi on my iPhone via Google home app isn’t getting linked to my Google account.

 hence, I can’t use it.

Here’s the error message for your reference, that I get every time.

The operation couldn't be completed. (kGSKErrorDomain

error -83902.)

Hi Kartik24,

Thanks for reaching out here in the community! I'm sorry to hear that your Google Nest Mini isn't connecting to your Google account and is showing the error message 'kGSKErrorDomain error -83902.' I understand how inconvenient it is, especially since your Nest Mini can connect to the network but isn't linking to the account. I'd be happy to help!

Sometimes this error happens when the language setting for the phone and the Google Assistant aren’t the same. To continue investigating the inconvenience, I’d like to ask the following:

  • What is the generation of your Nest Mini?
  • Where did you purchase the device (Google Store or third-party store)?
  • Have you attempted to set up the Google Nest device using a different phone or tablet?

In the meantime, let's try the following steps:

  • If your mobile device is set to a region other than US English, temporarily change it. To ensure your phone's default language matches Google Assistant, go to the Settings app (on iPhone) > Language & Region > tap Add Language and select English (US).
  • Verify if the Google Assistant language is set to EN_US or English US. Refer to this article for guidance: Change the language of Google Assistant.
  • Close the Google Home app and reopen it again.
  • Set up the Nest Mini again through the Google Home app. For instructions, you can refer to this article: Set up your Google Nest or Home speaker or display.

Please let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
