my device keeps on saying the ‘mic’s off’ when i slide them off, ‘by the way the mic’s off’ when i slide it on. the mic toggle button just wont work. ive plug it on and off did not work. I have reset the device still did not work. ive checked the firmware its on the latest version too.

This is not the experience that we wanted you to have, let me help you out. A few things: which Nest speaker? Which country are you contacting us from? Do you remember when and where you purchased your Nest speaker?

Im from the Philippines. I got my Google Home Mini via 3rd party reseller who has an online shop around 2019. I had no problem with it before and this issue just happened recently so maybe it might be a software update that occurred? Im not sure. Hoping for your help.
