My activity is not in the new app.

My activity in the new app says "no activity" for every day. This is darn annoying because daily Google gets something wrong and it's really hard to report.

Thanks for visiting the Community.

 

We're sorry to hear about this experience. Before we try some steps, let's make sure that the right account on your phone is selected. It should be the same account that you have used upon setting up your Google Nest speakers. As soon as it is checked, reboot both Google Nest speakers and router simply by unplugging it from the power source for at least a few minutes.

 

After all the devices are plugged in, try to say commands and see if there's any activity changes on the Home app.

Power cycled all devices, no joy. Factory reset my speaker, no joy. Restarted my phone, no joy. 

 
The app shows I'm logged in to my Google account and myactivity.google.com history shows what should be in my activity tab. I'm puzzled.

Finally someone (Alfie) got back to me [3-5331000034233]

With essentially on the different ways to get no activity to show up. But big problem I haven't done any of those things. The only thing different is the new UI on the app. Old app I would click my icon and select my activity and see results. The equivalent has stopped working in the new app. And again myactivity.google.com history works (I don't think it would under the ways Alfie mentioned.)

This is no way to conduct "higher level of support" with one sided conversions that do not address the issue.

Or does deleting all my history act like a reboot and things will work again? This makes no sense to me and was not spelled out in Alfies' message. Or I'm I being dismissed for doing something stupid because things work fine for others?

Just like the old joke, Customer Suport on light bulb not working. They are all working fine on my end so it must be a user error.

Thanks for responding. I've seen that the last interaction you've had earlier. Have you tried the steps sent to you via email? This is regarding joining the public preview.

 

We can also try to join the Public preview in the Google Home app and see if this will resolve the issue. The Google Home app Public Preview is an external preview program, open to all, where you can join to get access to and give feedback on upcoming Google Home app features before they’re broadly available to Home app users. 

Customers may join Public Preview to:

 

  1. Receive announcements about new features of the Google Home app.
  2. Get early access to new features before they’re released to everyone.
  3. Provide feedback and suggest improvements to the Google Home app.

 

  1. In the Home app , tap Settings .
  2. Select Public Preview and then Join Public Preview.

I goofed and didn't see I could respond to the email, which I did and they suggested the same thing. Funny thing the activity tab has no vertical ellipsis so it's hard to comment on what is or is not there. Thanks for all your help.
