My created Apple Music Playlists on Google Nest

NarelleB

Ever since I changed my apple password I can no longer play my Apple Music Playlists on my Google Nest. It plays completely different playlists that do not exist on my iphone. I have been searching for 2 hours for a solution and I have now landed here. Hopefully someone can provide a solution. To reiterate, I am trying to listen to a playlist that I have created and named, not a standard Apple Playlist. Thank you.

Here’s a concise solution:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Go to the settings for your Google Nest device.
  3. Check the Apple Music service settings.
  4. Make sure you’re signed in with your updated Apple ID and the correct account.
  5. Try to sync your library or refresh playlists within the Apple Music settings.
  6. If the issue persists, restart your Google Nest device and check for firmware updates.
  7. Contact Google Nest support if the problem continues.

Hi @NarelleB,

Thanks for posting here in the community! Sorry to hear about the wrong Apple Music playlist playing. I'm happy to help!

Thanks for jumping in to help, @mughal1999!

@NarelleB, I wanted to follow up on this thread. Did the suggested steps help resolve the situation with the wrong Apple Music playlist?

If you still need assistance, please let me know the specific model of your Google Home/Nest device and its firmware version. Additionally, if you have any examples of commands that triggered the wrong playlist, those would be helpful.

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenniffer

Unfortunately not. I am unable to play my apple playlists, it just does not understand what I am saying and plays another playlist with a similar name.

Hi @NarelleB,

Thanks for following up. I'm sorry to hear that the previous steps didn't help as expected. Let's try to fix this!

To gather more information, I'd like to ask a few questions:

  • What is the model of your Nest device?
  • What voice command did you use to play the desired playlist?
  • Did you get any error messages?

In the meantime, I'd suggest the following:

Let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
