My google hub stuck at recovery screen

My google hub stuck at recovery mode and cannot be restarted. I've done factory reset a few times but still keeps on coming back to the same recovery screen. What do I do ?

I have this same issue with one of my google hubs. Happened after an update of the device. Unusable now and stuck at G logo.

Jake, it’s still stuck in the recovery mode and not connecting to the internet. I’ve tried multiple times to reset and it always returns to the Recovery Mode screen.

Jake, my Google Best will not reset, Ive tried for the last several weeks and it wont respond or leave the Recovery Mode Screen. Please help

I have tried to reset the hub dozens of times and it always returns to recovery mode.

Yes, Google has reached out for a replacement as it was not possible to repair.

Hey Mspitznagle,

 

I am sorry to hear you are still having trouble with the device restarting in recovery mode. I would recommend plugging in the device and performing a factory reset. Please make sure that you are not holding the volume buttons down, as this will put the device back into recovery mode. Let me know if that helped or if the issue is still present.

Thanks for your input.  Your note tells me NOT to hold the two volume keys.  The screen tells me to “press and hold both volume keys to factory reset”. When I do that, it comes right back to the same screen after the timer count up to 10 and the reboot.  Is there another way to factory reset?

I never heard anything either. I ended up buying a new one and hoping I have better luck with it.
