My google played something I didn't ask for

I asked Google to play a podcast I regularly listen to. She said "sure, playing ____" and recited it back to me. I didn't hear anything for a while and realized the volume was on extremely low. I asked Google to turn the volume up, and it was incoherent rambling in another language. I immediately unplugged my device and turned off my mic. Any insight here?

Thank you for reaching out. I am sorry to hear that your Google Assistant suddenly starting acting strangely. I definitely understand your concern. I would be more than happy to look into this issue. First, I have some quick questions.

• Which Google device is this post in regard to? (model name, generation number)
• Could you please try to do a reboot and Factory Data Reset on your Google Nest Mini? Are there any improvements or does this issue still happen? 
  • A factory reset will reset your Google Nest or Home speaker or display to its default factory settings. 
  • Note: This action will clear your data from the device and can't be undone.
