My home mini is having issues with wifi/app

I have reset my home mini many times and it’s saying I need to connect it to wifi. I have connected it many times.  I have had this one since 2019 and moved last October. I haven’t had any issues till I moved and reset it up. I have factory reset it so many times. I have a total of 3 home minis. 2 that I’ve had for years and one I haven’t even set up. Any advice would be much appreciated

Hi  Ace298,

 

That certainly isn’t the experience we want you to have. Let’s check it out — a few questions: when you did the reset, was it the same steps as what you see in this link? How far are your speakers from your router? How often does disconnection occur and what is the error message when it does?

 

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first: 

 

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

 

Also, to eliminate network issues, please try setting up one of your Home Mini’s using a mobile hotspot. Please note that you will need two mobile devices for this setup (one will serve as a router and the other to be used to set up your Google Home/Nest devices). Once done, check if your device will have the same behavior.
