My nest constantly keeps changing display language

Hi,

My Google nest hub 2nd edition keeps changing language to Spanish eventhough I change it to English from home app. It keeps English for a few hours and the returns to Spanish. 

Can you help me?

Thanks for reaching out and for providing detailed information on your issue and the steps that you've done — these are of great help!

 

You can do a sequential reboot. First, unplug your Nest Hub 2nd gen for 30 seconds, then do the same thing to your Wi-Fi router to refresh both devices and your Wi-Fi signal. Once it’s back on, observe if it will do the same thing.

Thank you for your reply. I followed your instructions but nothing changed. Please note that I have two devices of the same type in the same network and both of them are facing the same problem. Are you sure that this is not a firmware issue. I did not had this issue in the past.

Apologize for the delays. Chiming in to ensure everything is covered here. Could you tell us the firmware version of your Nest Hub (2nd gen). You can follow the steps below or visit this link to learn more.

 

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings > Device information.
  4. Under "Technical information," check for Cast firmware: "X.XXX.XXXXX." If the device is on Fuchsia, check for System firmware version: "X.XXXXXXXX.X.XXXXXXX"

I replied to your last question using email which was bounced back to me and I fortunately I did not checked it on time. As I also replied to your last question software version is 47.9.4.447810048 and cast version is 1.56.324896. Thank you.

Hi GrGalaxian,

 

Thanks for trying that, sorry that you are still experiencing the issue. You can perform the factory data reset to put your Nest Hub 2nd gen back to its default setting and set it up again as a new device. Once set up successfully, observe if this will make a difference. Check the steps below on how to reset your Nest Hub.
 

Here’s how to do the reset,  press and hold the volume up and down button located at the back of your Google Nest Hub together for about 10 seconds. You'll hear your Google Assistant confirm that it's resetting your Google Nest Hub.

Hi,

I followed your last instructions and I m still waiting to check if the display language is turning back to Spanish. The good news is that it's stable for the moment to the language I chose (English).
