NEST AUDIO SPEAKER STOPPED PLAYING

GLOVERRD

The speakers are connected in stereo.  They play when separated but not paired. I hear the music faintly with my ear up to them. I have two other speaker pairs in different rooms and they play just find. I have tried rebooting and putting them back to default as purchased but same thing I can not get them to play paired in stereo. I even tried replacing with a new speaker but same results.

Hi @GLOVERRD,

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear your Nest Audio devices aren't working as expected in a stereo pair. Don't worry, I'm here to help. To better assist you, I have some questions:

  • Have you made any changes to your stereo pair recently?
  • Do the Nest Audio devices sound good individually?
  • Have you tried unpairing the stereo pair and then creating a new one?
  • Have you tried adding the stereo pair to a speaker group?

If you want to create a stereo pair, the speakers have to be the same model; otherwise, the stereo pair won't work. I appreciate your troubleshooting efforts. Please let me know the answers to these questions, and I'll be happy to help you further.

Best regards,

Jonathan

Yes they’re same models. Play very well separated sounds are good.  I did delete speakers several times. They do play find in groups that i have in network.

Hi @GLOVERRD,

Thanks for your reply, appreciate the information shared,

Since the speakers sound great when separated, I recommend you change the audio settings as you mentioned earlier that your devices in stereo mode sound really low. Also, make sure the devices are within a good range of distance to see if that helps.

Please keep me updated on how it goes.

Cheers,
Jonathan
