Nest Audio 83902 issue persists

Dear Community Specialists;

I have been using my Nest Audio for 3 years now with all functions working. I used to have connectivity/playback issues and I were fixing with factory resets. They were all fine. 

Today I faced a similar issue but a factory reset didn't help. Device got into a state that I didn't experience before (no sound, no orange led). Then, I applied Google's suggested workaround and the device restarted with expected behavior (sound, orange led). So far so good 👍

Then, I started the setup through my Google Home app on iOS. When I come to the "Set up Google Assistant" step, I came across the 83902 issue. Then, I factory resetted 2 times but I stuck at the same issue every time. Then, I waited 10sec with the power cord off and then applied a factory reset, I stuck at the same issue.  Need your help. 

  • issue: "The operation couldn't be completed. (kGSKErrorDomain error -83902.)"
  • device model: GXCA6
  • all software components (iOS, Google Home) are up to date as of today (Dec 19, 2023)

Hi Neset,

 

That certainly hasn’t been easy for you. Let’s further look into it. What is the language and region set in your iPhone settings and Google Assistant settings? Do you have a spare phone or tablet? Try to use another setup device (just for the initial setup); let me know how it goes.
