Nest Doorbell 1st gen did not migrate to google home app

Just purchased and installed the 1st generation wired nest doorbell last week.  Has been working fine through my nest app.  Just migrated to google home for use on google hub 2nd gen.  All my devices migrated except the doorbell.  It won't let me add the device, either a new or compatible as "Nest" no longer shows up as a compatible device option to add.  Is the first gen doorbell not compatible anymore?

You should NOT have to add a Google Nest device to the Google Home app after migrating if it was already present in the Google Nest app; that's what happened when we migrated 2 years ago. In fact, you cannot add it; it should automatically be there. Your Google Nest Hello Doorbell should appear in both the Google Nest app and the Google Home app (but with most functions still in the Google Nest app). Are you in the same Google Nest "home" in both the Google Nest app and the Google Home app? Are you now logging into the Google Nest app with the same Google account you're using for the Google Home app?

Some customers with similar issues have reported success by logging out of the Google Nest app and logging back on to see if that triggers an update on the Google Nest servers.  Or you could wait awhile and see if the problem resolves itself on Google Nest's servers.

I've done a good amount of troubleshooting including being on the phone with various tech support agents at google (totaling approx. 2hrs).  Unfortunately, sounds like the answer is an effort by google to push new product :(.  Found an interesting thread here that equals my frustration:  https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Cameras-and-Doorbells/Google-Home-app-is-horrible/m-p/234997

Thanks for your time!

Ouch! We have the older Google Nest Hello Doorbells (the wired versions) that work well in the Google Nest app but also can be viewed in the Google Home app. We're hoping that the new updates to the Google Home app that have just been announced but not released will bring the Google Home app up to par with the Google Nest app and--finally--let all our cameras and doorbells work in the same app.

Google Nest Support should have been able to resolve your problem in two hours on the phone; perhaps the agents you reached did not have enough knowledge. Sometimes when customers call back again, they get someone more knowledgeable. Good luck.

Is your Google Nest Hello Doorbell still missing from the Google Nest app and the Google Home app?

Do you have just one Google Nest "home/structure" in each app?
